Leadership
We are supported by a leadership team that is committed to bettering the lives of patients within the communities we serve. Our hospital leaders are experienced in many areas of healthcare and use their knowledge to improve the quality of care we provide.
Awards and recognitions
We strive to exceed our patients' needs. Our dedication to excellence in healthcare has led to us receiving awards and recognition from organizations such a The Joint Commission and The Leapfrog Group.
In the community
To improve the health of the diverse communities we serve - and as part of HCA Healthcare, Florida's largest healthcare provider - we continue to take a leading role in fundamentally transforming how healthcare is provided. We also work in partnership with other organizations to provide a wide range of community benefit programs and services.

Recent expansions and new services

In the midst of changing names, logos and paint colors, one thing remains constant and that is our mission statement: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

We have added beds and the highest level of care for our premature or ill newborns in our existing Level II NICU. Our Baby Suites and NICU department will be able to care for babies 25-weeks young. HCA Florida Osceola Hospital will continue to be the only medical facility offering this level of care in Osceola County.

In our Baby Suites and NICU, mom can rest assured that her baby is close by without having to be transferred. When mom is discharged but baby needs more care, mom and the family can still visit every day without commuting an hour to see and hold the new addition to the family.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital's Baby Suites is proud to have been awarded the Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care. For childbirth classes, breastfeeding and baby basic classes or to tour our Baby Suites, visit our calendar of events.

Comprehensive Stroke Center

We are expanding our stroke center, the only Primary Advanced Stroke Center in the county that is certified by The Joint Commission. We also annually receive an award annually for stroke excellence by the American Heart and Stroke Association.

With the addition to our Comprehensive Stroke Center, residents and visitors with the highest and most complex stroke cases can be cared for without having to be transferred to a distant facility. This means a higher level of care using additional imaging equipment, sophisticated technology — such as an imaging bi-plane — expert specialists and expanded protocols in place when time is of the essence. We want our patients to have the best outcomes possible so they can have the best life possible.

Inpatient Acute Physical Rehabilitation Center

In the new Inpatient Acute Physical Rehabilitation Center, a multidisciplinary team of professionals treats patients with debilitating diseases or injuries such as strokes, brain and neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions and spine injuries to achieve individualized goals for recovery. The center is the only one of its kind in Osceola County.

HCA Hunter's Creek Emergency

Located in South Orlando, our freestanding emergency facility provides the same emergency care that is provided in a traditional hospital setting. HCA Florida Hunter’s Creek Emergency offers imaging equipment, laboratory, separate ambulance entrance and a designated trauma room. Staffed by emergency physicians, nurses, and technicians, our expanded emergency department is able to care for life-threatening emergencies. From broken bones to chest pain, HCA Florida Hunter’s Creek Emergency offers 24/7 emergency care for children and adults.

Endoscopy unit

Our endoscopy unit, with new technology, space and aesthetics, has moved to a new area in the hospital. This dedicated area performs endoscopy procedures to provide internal images of the digestive system to enable diagnosis and treatment.

Graduate medical education residency programs

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a teaching hospital for newly graduated physicians in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine (UCF COM). As part of the UCF COM/HCA Consortium, this partnership with HCA Healthcare, our parent company, is designed to increase the number of residencies and fellowships in Florida, thereby addressing the physician shortage in Florida, particularly in our community.

We currently offer graduate medical education (GME) programs in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurology, Transitional Residency and recently added Psychiatry and Surgery Programs, as well as an Endocrine fellowship. Newly graduated physicians are matched to our programs in the spring and start their residency to become practicing physicians in the summer.

Cafeteria

Our cafeteria received a complete makeover for a more updated and modern look. Subway continues to serve our patient’s families and visitors.
